Your Favorite Cob Pipes

What are people's thoughts on the General? Do you find the bowl to be too big? I'm going to be purchasing my first cob to go with JP's stormfront (4noggins should have it again by tuesday rich told me) but have noticed nobody mentioned it, and I'm not too keen on huge bowls like that. Any suggestions for my first MM cob? Is it worth it to get the hardwood bottom?
