I'm only a decade in, but have the 10th pipe I purchased in that first year, a 2X 1998 Ashton (my first Ashton) and a gift for my 50th birthday.

Last was a Sasieni Ashford Walnut, family era.

Amazingly, in 10 years, I've bought/sold 365 pipes. With 61 pipes in my current collection.

My first pipe was a Dr. Grabow Grand Duke Smooth which, is long since gone. I had to hide it in the trunk of my ‘71 Duster, away from my non-smoking father. I am sure I panic ditched it when I thought I would be busted ?. My latest is the Tinsky bent pot that I had Mark make for my 60th birthday.

One of the very first pipes I bought (maybe tossed as ‘too used’ 30 years ago?) was a new Stanwell no. 17 ‘sitter’, of which model I have bought more since. The last pipe I bought, about a year ago, was a new but old stock Stanwell no. 78. Both designed by Sixten Ivarsson and no longer produced.
