So, I'm having my bum leg checked out prior to beginning physio this week and a resident is gathering info before I meet with the surgeon. Among the standard questions is "do you smoke?" I admit to enjoying a few bowls of pipe tobacco a week.
Turns out the young doc is from Montreal and a pipe smoker. His dad is a long-time enthusiast and introduced him to the hobby. Dad regularly buys the young feller pipes to add to his rotation. We have a nice chat about pipes and the ridiculous price of tobacco in Alberta (even compared to Quebec) before getting back to the leg.
It was just really nice to chat with a young medical professional who is into the piping lifestyle.
Beyond that, got out of the zimmer splint I've been trapped in for a month and have a hinged knee brace so I can start
walking again. Even better, the physiotherapist I'll be seeing twice a week for the next six weeks or so is really nice and kinda hot. A little pleasure to go with the pain won't be so bad.
