To make the quintessential straight smooth billiard in a way that makes us catch our breath is a far reach, but here it is.

Since the threads will drift apart as time passes, here's an "internal link" (so to speak) to some better photos of the pipe being discussed here:

(I should have just appended them to this thread originally, of course, but I'm an idiot who often does stupid things. )

If chasing perfection is your thing then I am sorry to disappoint you but that pipe does have issues. The transition from the stem to shank is all wrong, big gap. The button is way too small and the angle is all wrong. The grain has too many weak spots and the shape of the bowl is amateurish at best. If you want, I will give you what you paid for the pipe and take it off your hands. No need to thank me.
Saddle, it is Harriet not Henrietta, get it straight.

I see those many blunders now. What was I thinking?! Thank you. I am disappointed, but knowing the truth is always better than not. :(
Thanks also for offering to take the now-hideous object off my hands. In fact, PM me your address and I'll send you the pipe (if I can bring myself to touch it, that is... I might have to use tongs) along with a couple hundred dollar bills for your sacrifice and assistance. Favors from strangers are a rare thing to be cherished and rewarded. :D
