You tube how-to videos

I watch you tube how-to videos, but my god these people RAMBLE on and on! They have no clue how to get to the point. I try to fast forward by sliding my finger on that timer bar at the bottom but usually end up in a brand new ramble of theirs. Usually give up on pretty quickly on those.

I concur. It's like looking at a cooking recipe online. I don't need to know the story of the risotto, nor a condensed history of risotto in general. Just give me the damn recipe dammit!

Been watching a lot of these lately as I come across different situations with a bathroom remodel we're doing. I have to agree. There's some good ones out there, but you sure have to dig to find them.

Not to mention the constant mid-video attempts to appease the YouTube algorithm gods: "Hey fam squad be sure to slap that like button and smash that subscribe button blahblahblah"

I feel like an asshole for watching them sometimes... Especially when they start giving you a "life update."

I know. I don't care if even your cousin dave can do it. The worst are recipes oh even your husband that only like garlic wharf rat enjoyed this one.

The worst are reviews. In the firearms market YT is swimming in 20 minute reviews of how a “this or that” is the best thing since sliced bread, only up get to the 19:30 or so mark and get around to “I haven’t fired it yet”

Who wouldn’t want to hear about the state of the videographer’s underwear, or what they ate for breakfast last week, or their nickname for their junk, or five minutes of fumbling around prior to their getting down to the subject matter?

What is wrong with you people?
