I've watched a lot of cooking shows, but I don't think I've ever seen that one.
Jacques Pépin and Kevin Belton's shows are my current favs.

But 8 minutes to show a 15 second process? And, yes, I used to watch Yan Can Cook a lot when it was live.
Jacques Pépin.
He's now doing short videos on Facebook. Last one I saw was caviar from Oklahoma on toast or something like that!Yes! I've seen a few where he is cooking with his granddaughter and its incredible.
The look on Jacques' face when Julia drops in the butter, or when she swigs the wine, is worth the price of admission! The ones Jacque Pepin did with Julia Child are absolutely priceless.

I have this book and I can tell you, even though her name makes me giggle she is a damn good Thai cooking inspiration.
May have to check it out... I like Thai food, but aside from stored bought curry pastes, I don't really have any experience cooking it at home.I have this book and I can tell you, even though her name makes me giggle she is a damn good Thai cooking inspiration.
On the topic of Chinese food and restaurants in America; a great documentary, The Search for General Tso. It is entertaining and we’ll done.Martin Yan is a Bay Area legend! I read an interview with him a few years ago, and it was interesting. He has probably done more to introduce good Chinese cuisine to Americans, at least here in Northern California, than anyone. In the interview I read he talks about the state of Chinese food in America when he arrived, with most restaurants serving a similar menu of dishes heavily adapted to American palates. That is part of the immigrant experience in the U.S. I think, as is what has happened since, with there being an incredible variety of amazing, specialty and regional Chinese restaurants that exist in America today. It's pretty awesome. Anyway, Martin is a ham, but that's how he marketed himself and became such an icon.
