It is a nice lighter. The angled flame really gets down in the bowl. I really wish it had a fly wheel! And, as stated above, even at room temp sometimes you have to warm it up to get it to work. I could do without the tools and have it hold more fuel. Love xikar's though

I have this lighter but in the briar finish and love it. I have had a few Xikar's and when they crap out I send them back and they either fix it or send a new one. I got one of their cigar lighters about 7 years ago and it recently stopped lighting. I sent it in and they contacted me that my model didn't exist and replaced it with the current model. I wouldn't consider any other lighter for cigars, pipes, burning down my neighbor's house, etc. I DO WISH the pipe lighter had the fill pane window to see how full it is like my cigar lighter.

I am pretty sure that Vector and Xikar are made by the same people. I have two Vectors with the same lifetime warranty and the exact same models that Xikar carries. One of mine is the same model as the one in the pic above and another that has a tamper that hides in the bottom and slides out. After a while the electronic ignition gives way to the humidity here in Houston and I am relegated to a refillable Bic. I have now worn out the flint on the Bic. I bought both of mine in a cigar shop in Louisiana while visiting the in-laws and am waiting till I go back to send them in to be looked at.
