Let me know how you like it, Charles. I have an Old Boy and it's been giving me nothing but problems.
Just curious... is it made in the USA?

Company is based out of Kansas but the pipe is made in China But they have a life time waranty just take it to any Xikar dealer to fix it or replace it. you and also trade it in for an upgrade.

Nice! I've been on the fence with a Xikar or an IM Corona. Leaning Towards the Corona. Reputation is good on both.

Just trying to figure out if there are more differances than the obvious 30 bucks.

Danno, my Corona Old Boy has been having issues. I sent it back to Savinelli for servicing, but it still doesn't like to light unless the flint is brand new.
My advice is to get the Xikar.

Charles… I purchased the same lighter almost 2 years ago and could not be happier with it. All I've had to do to it is add fuel and flint and it works fine every time.

I mut say I am liking it. One reason I purchased it is I live at Altitude and the gas flow is better with the Xikar than the old boy and Corona I was trying out they Did not light every time.

Weird. I too live in Colorado and have not had any problems with the Old Boy. In fact I can't recall even once a failure to light. I don't even use the "good" butane. Plain old Ronson butane. :P

I have had an Old Boy for about a year now and use it every day with zero problems. Love it.

Xikar has the best customer service by far. I have 2 lighters and 2 cigar cutters. Any issue at all and you can send your item back to them and it will be fixed or replaced with no questions. High quality and sevice are always worth the price.

The Xicar warranty is hard to beat. Register your lighter on their website and they will send you a free leather case. my only gripe is their faux finishes flake off. I only buy stainless and brushed versions of their products now.

I meant to post this earlier. Here is an excellent video comparing the Xikar and the IM Corona Old Boy. He points out the similarities and differences between the two.
