To recommend something in a different direction (since I share your love of ferments and kombucha) I'd recommend Wessex Burley Flake.

I devour BAYOU NIGHT and there is a funk note in Father Dempsey that reminds me of it.
As others have mentioned try some Dark Fired Burley and HH BOLD KENTUCKY has a nice depth and BBQ note

At a dead end and would love some recs on blends to try next.

What would you recommend me based off this information?

My favorite blends are John Marr, Sansepulcro, Cloud Hopper, Bayou Night, Windjammer, and Newminster No. 400. I smoke on average 10-15 bowls a week, at most three or four in a day. I retrohale at least 50% of my puffs.

I like at least medium in strength and body. I don't need my smoke to smell great. I like incense, ferments, dirty socks, "kind bud," kombucha, wet dogs, ferrets, etc. and am unmarried. The two are unrelated.

The blend I want to try more than any other is Cabbies Mixture. Maybe I'll find some one day.

I don't mind a lightly sauced aro usually if it's not going for blueberry key lime coco-orgy donuts and sprinkles... John Marr being tied for my favorite blend. I think it's topped with whisky and vanilla, but it's faint. God I love that stuff. Also dig Shandygaff. I'll cut some Salmon River with some crumbly LNF to balance it out a bit.

I like Latakia less and less as my pallete develops, but love it in Bayou Night..... Which reminds me of Elmer's glue in the best way. I've got Mac Baren's Ltd Ed. Latakia Rolls, Rajah's Court, Seattle Evening, Bengal Slices, a few others and just... Not loving Latakia unless it's in Bayou Night lately. Or rather.... I'm not reaching for it. I crack a jar of an English, grab a whiff, and reach for Windjammer instead.

Thanks!
Bayou night is 50% perique so I'm thinking VaPers might be your thing. Bayou morning, three friars, night train all by C&D. St James flake by Samuel Gawith. 1792 flake by Samuel Gawith. Luxury bullseye flake by Peter stokkebye off the top of my head

Interesting I guess C&D Exclusive is 50% Perique too and another of my favorites.
