Daily pipers, what's the one pipe you reach for over and over thought out the day... your workhorse pipe?

Mine is a Morgan Bones Rhodesian. The other is a MM Mark Twain w/ a Forever Stem. These pipes get smoked multiple times a day, take a beating and never fail.

Post yours below.

I pretty much rotate pipes to keep them all smoked, so they all get grabbed in turn. Old favorites include two Peterson B11 sitter brandies, several Iwan Ries house pipes from when they were sourced by Benton and made of oil cured Algerian briar, a Kaywoodie Drinkless, a Nording zebra hunting pipes, and scores of others.

I should clarify, that what I'm really asking is... outside of your normal rotation or the good pipes that you don't really want to damage, maybe because of your line of work or where you smoke outside the house, shop or pipe club... what is your work horse?

I'm a truck driver and haul precast concrete. Between our production facility and different construction sites, I'm around dirt and abrasives all day. I don't bring my nice pipes out here. I keep 4 or 5 in my truck that I rotate through during the week. They get dropped and bumped and scratched. They basically only get run through with a pipe cleaner and a nail. Those guys are my work horses...

A pipe is just a tool for me. From cobs up to artisans they all go into the pocket, out for yard work, and into the factory. All of them are smoked multiple times per day for weeks at a time before reaching for the next one.

I do appreciate your point. I’d take the Carolina Gent anywhere .

The only pipes I wouldn’t take out and about are my clay churchwarden (I feel if I look at it wrong the stem will snap off lol). Also my one pricey pipe, that’s my Friday afternoon treat after a long work week. The two pipes I prob take to work the most are a MM Country Gent and a MM Legend 5th Ave, I just like the way they smoke.

I've never had the misfortune to smoke in a fancy setting where the appearance of my pipe has any significance. I'm a carpenter and most of my smoking is done at work or in the car, so all my pipes are in constant danger of getting dropped or damaged by paints or glues or oils.
I've made it a point to buy pipes that fit with the way I live my life, so they are all low to medium priced, clenchable workhorses. My favorites have become my two Stanwell 83 bents. I'm going to get more of those eventually. Since I like them the best, they get most action.
Here's one:

I have a Scott’s Pipe that I consider my workhorse. Smokes anything and everything great. Saddle bit, which is great for clenching. The pipe I pick up most often when going to the woods, possibility of inclement weather or just don’t want to be concerned with being careful.

My Stanwell 182. Gets smoked at least twice a day with no maintenance. Resides in my car and is subjected to heat, cold, neglect, a rubber bit thing, and aromatics. The pipe defiantly never fails to deliver a great smoke. Weird, almost scary. Stanwells, in my experience, are very kewl.

Runner-up would be my Charles Town Cobber, or whatever it's called. It's the greatest pipe in all creation, and will be for time eternal. Once I allow it to interrupt my rotation, nothing else will get smoked for quite a while. (Actually, I have two, come to think of it.)

No other pipes of mine come close. Strange, because I like to pose as a billiard connoisseur.

I'm more of one bowl a day kinda smoker. Outside that, it's my trusty 3 cell vape. Right now, it's back to Marlboro Red due to stress with moving. I'm already sick of cancer stick. Not even half pack done. So workhorse is my vape.

we've got to get you off that inhale my friend - vapor and tar

As for workhorse pipes - all of my pipes are tools - if one literally got scratched or damaged even my better ones - I could care less

I always thought of how many people's estates were in sticky situations in people bedrooms if you get me
