I know this isn't wood working, but I built it. My wife does foster care for rescue cats and dogs and about 5 years ago she was showing me pics of cat trees for sale online, asking if I could make something similar. One was made from a eastern red cedar tree 6' tall with 3 platforms on it, and they wanted $500 for it. I told her sure I can do that. Mine has five platforms with two boxes for hiding, plus the ladder and is just under 8' tall. 8)

psychpipes, I've spent lots of time in the western area of the Adirondacks. All the way up to Canada. I'm not too familiar with your area. Also the Catskills area have been traveled and hiked by me. The Hudson below Catskill to NYC we've explored a lot. Once found a Roman coin on the Hudson. So much for Columbus being in America first.
trailspike48, that is an awesome piece.
mcitinner1, what a great idea. Nice!

Wow, there's some amazing stuff here! Some real wood working talent for sure. I like working with wood, but it's more crude like items I end up making. I'd like to try to make some furniture sometime, but lack the proper place and tools to do it.
psychpipes; I love Adirondack chairs, and yours is a beauty! Bought four of them in kit form about 13 years ago for our front porch, and they're still there in use all the time. One is my main pipe smoking chair, but I did get some cushions for it to protect my tender tushy.

Fantastic work everyone! I need to figure out how to post pictures, decide what to build, build it and take a pic of it to share here. I may not stick to that particular order, though.
