Wooden Pipe with Brass

Hey Everyone!

I found a nice little pipe at the antique store yesterday. It’s wooden with brass fittings.

It’s full length is 5 5/8”. The Stem is 5 ⅛” long and about 3/8” wide

The bowl is about 7/8” at the widest part of the wood,

the wooden base of the bowl is about 3/4”

The brass fitting on the top of the bowl is about ¾” The depth of the bowl is about 5/8” deep.

It looks to be handmade.

No artist name on it.

Has anyone seen a pipe like this before?

The metal bowl liner makes me wonder if it is meant for tobacco smoking. It looks like it was made

in the third world, or at least not in one of the pipe-making countries as we know them.

It was used. The bowl was dirty & the brass tarnished. I wouldn't have known it was brass if it wasn't in the description on the tag. I didn't think of it before, but I can see now it's probably paraphernalia pipe.

I'll just use it around the house to avoid any trouble.
