Great to see the legendary 21 Wood Brothers Ford back in victory lane. Unfortunately, I was tending a Thoroughbred with an abscess and missed the race, got home in time for the Victory Lane interview.

I miss little quarter mile dirt tracks like the Rotary Club of Humansville operated from 1946 to 1974 just north of town off Old 13.

The town fathers passed a law that the beer joint could be open until two hours after the races and of course all the restaurants stayed open too.

I still make the local dirt track on Saturday night as much as possible, I prefer dirt for racing but I'll watch any form of racing horses, dogs, cars, motorcycles whatever.
