Woke Up To Find A Tree Lying Atop My Car!

Yesterday morning I was a little late getting up as the previous day was my 59th so I partied (alone) into the wee hours. Upon opening my curtains I saw that a tree had fallen over from the churchyard next door and landed on the front of my Skoda!

Thankfully it wasn't a huge tree and no damage was incurred but it was a worry at the time. I managed to get hold of the vicar and she came around with the church warden and his chainsaw and deftly removed it.

The only Skoda I've seen was tee-boned by my wife after she ran a stop sign, the day after she got her driver's license. Good memories.

Yes, it is an 'L' plate. These are placed on the car when a person is being taught to drive so you have to wonder, was I teaching or was I learning ?

Al, the car directly in front of mine is an Audi estate and the tiny thing alongside mine is a Mercedes Smart car. Surely both of these are available in the US?

BTW, my Skoda hasn't been driven in three years, I really must get rid of it.

Audi Estate - nope. Smart Car yes, but the back window on that one looked odd, guess it was just the partial shot. I've driven a Smart Car, if felt like it was powered by rubber bands (guess it was the CVT transmission).
