Wives Knowing Quality Tobacco

My wife Greta refuses to smoke anything but flakes- her current favorite is PS Bulls Eye...She doesn't know I'm hiding a couple of bags of Stonehaven that just arrived...I'm in big trouble!

My wife is tolerant of 1Q (the tin note, anyway...), but I've added "Grandma's Kitchen" to her 'yecch' list as of this week. :D

Funny but my wife seems to prefer a mild Latakia (esp FMC) than most of my aros, go figure!

Someday I'd love to educate the wife on all the different tobaccos in some sort of attempt to at least get her to understand the obsession. She is also very disinterested in my guitars...
On the plus side though, we have CFL football season tickets for next year and she says she'll "try" to go to half the games. Win!

If I smoke anything with latakia in it, she says it smells like campfire. Even if it's very mild. H&H cerberus smells the same to her as JFH STM, Dunhill Std Mix Mellow, Nording Fox Hound. I don't think she appreciates the room note of Escudo, or other VaPers. Straight VAs she doesn't mind. And anything aro that I've smoked so far

Well, gents, you that have accommodating wives are lucky indeed. My wife hates everything that I smoke. Which gets me to thinking: They say that married men live longer than unmarried men. That certainly doesn't apply to me.

I don't smoke in the house as often as I used to since we have young kids in the house. However I guess I'm one of the lucky ones because my wife has never minded most of my English blends. She's commented on how she likes the smokey smell.

The only tobaccos my wife has made positive comments on are Hobbit's Weed, Shortcut to Mushrooms, and Squadron Leader. She was non-committal about Boswell's Northwoods. I only smoke out of doors at the house. Fortunately, I have a good friend whose wife does not mind smoking in their house and he invites me over for a couple of bowls every couple of weeks. That sees me through the winter.

When my fiancée and I get our house she says that she won't mind me smoking anywhere in the house. But windows will be open lol. Unless we live somewhere cold then in the winter I'll be confined to my hobby room. I'm really ok with this! ::

I dont have a Mrs or concubine that lives with me, while i do keep several members of the opposite sex available to rotate through the week depending on what pipe i choose for the day and what i am in the mood for. So my kids tell me what smells good and what doesn't get smoked in the house.
