What grit did you use to sand it?
antbauers, I use 1200 grit for a smooth finish but 1500 works the best when I can find it locally. I use a brand called Gator Wet/Dry. I wet sand for the finish then dry sand for the final finish before buffing with Carnauba wax. When buffing I use the Diamond brand buff pad.

Durham...great work..thanks for sharing....I have a no name estate that's really dark like yours, I'm gonna give it a sanding and see what's hiding under all the stain

Great job! I'm considering using some Carnauba wax on one of my Savinelli's, but no need for sanding it.
