Hi there,

Any pipe smokers from Windsor, ON or Detroit, MI area interested in creating a club?

Meeting for a smoke, sharing tobacco and stories...

There is the North Oakland Tobacco and Pipe Club. Meets first Thursday of the month. I have a Thursday conflict, so I don't go. I think they meet in Royal Oak.

They meet in Royal Oak, at The Commonwealth Club, at 7 PM.

Well, with three tobacconists in town there has to be some amount of pipe enthusiasts around. The problem is, actually meeting them. Probably quite a few like me, even, who buy everything almost exclusively online due to our ludicrous taxes.

Not really, I haven't put much thought into it, to be honest. I just happened upon this thread. Seems like you/we would need to "advertise" with fliers posted around the tobacconists or on kijiji or something like that. Not really sure. Could always meet up some time at that one convenience store/tobacconist, buy some cheap tobacco and sit outside and smoke (the one closest to the river has a small outdoor smoking area), which may attract some others (?). Not really sure. I'll try to think it over.

Mick, if that's the extent of your plans you might get Jay and Silent Bob to join up if you are lucky. LOL.

Again: There is a pipe club that meets in Royal Oak, at the Commonwealth Club, on the first Thursday of the month at 7 PM. Maybe that would be a place to meet other Windsor folks.
