Ordered both of these to try. Wondering if they will ghost briar or meerschaum, and how severely if so. I’m guessing St Bruno will leave a more stubborn ghost, but G&H apparently has a reputation for Lakeland essence finding its way into blends not advertised as Lakelands. Just trying to determine whether I should refrain from smoking these in my current pipes and just buy a couple of cobs to dedicate to them.
Thanks. ????

I have no experience with St Brunos, but Coconut Twist won't ghost your pipe... not in the way we usually use the term "ghost." But, you will taste a little bit of it if you smoke something light in the pipe afterwards, like a straight Virginia.

Ghost, is a term we usually use for a taste that lingers for many, many bowls afterwards.

But, with Coconut Twist, you won't so much get the coconut toppingin the next bowl (they really don't use very much of it), but yopu'll get a hint of those stronger Empire Dark Virginias. They'll leave behind a little bit of their je ne sais pas. But, it doesn't last or linger.

Thanks on the Coconut Twist. ?
That’s no big deal to me. I sometimes switch pipes from one genre to the other and get that remnant of the previous genre for the first few smokes. I can live with that. I was concerned about a Lakeland essence that won’t go away.

I smoke St Bruno and Erinmore flakes quite regularly and haven't noticed neither of these will not leave nothing strong ghosts to pipes under the condition one is not smoking these tobaccies multiple times in one and same pipe, some light fruity-floral nuances might occur though
Erinmore is an occasional smoke for me. I’ve not noticed any ghosting from it. If St Bruno is in the same neighborhood, I won’t worry about it. ?

Hey, I forgot about that one! I looked for “coconut twist“ and “St Bruno” and just found a bunch of “What are you smoking” posts.

I don't know St Bruno, and haven't tried GH Coconut Twist, but I have smoked a fair bit of GH Sweet Rum Twist - one of my top 5 tobaccos in fact. It will not ghost, as cosmic said above, the flavouring is very mild, at least in the rum rope.
