A cob will almost certainly gurgle less than your current pipes. Briars tend to gurgle more easily than cobs. Cobs are very absorbent of moisture. I recommend getting both cobs and briars. As you will see, some here hate cobs, but many of us appreciate them for their cool, dry smoking characteristics :puffy:
