Good stuff, sounds like I've got my work cut out for me in the sampling department! I've been afraid of the heavy fruit flavor tobacco ever since a serious mouth schorching and room spinning experience with an otc cherry cavendish when I first got started years ago. Looking back it may have been poor technique and not the pouch of tobacco's fault.

When I saw the title I thought, this could be a dangerous thing to openly post.

You have some wonderful suggestions already given. I seldom talk directly about my C&D Captain Bob's Blend in the forum. I do not receive any compensation for the sale of my blend because that is the way I want it to be. However, the late Craig Tarler chose to go public with it and it has become an international seller. It is a very unique blend in that it does contain Latakia in a 1/16th ratio enjoyed by the smoker and undedectible by the ladies. It is a light English Aromatic.
Meant to say, thanks Cap't Bob - I've been wanting to try your blend. Sounds good, got to add it to my list!

I don't smoke indoors due to animals. They can't voice their likes and dislikes. So, I respect that and just leave that area air clean.

Try Macbarrens 7 Seas line. It tastes similar to Captain Black, but is a higher grade tobacco. In the Stokkebye department, I like their Pistachio. 1Q is good too.

Gotta admit my mind went elsewhere when I read the thread topic. I have said it before on here, try pipeinhands aros as they get the highest compliments from my wife, also 1Q as stated already.

Thanks for the help all. Until I can get into Slc I'm stuck with what I can find local. The B&m's around here only cater to the "other" pipe smokers so the only reccomend found is cbg. Its good for a drugstore pouch and wife tolerates it so that's where I'm at right now. I try to support loca business wherever I can but I may wind up ordering online. That is if this miserable state doesn't have a law against tobacco by mail. Yet to research that sticky wicket.

I reside in Teton Valley, Idaho the temps here are downright frigid. I didn't want my home to smell like tobacco when I have guests over so I picked up some tools, went downstairs, and built a small man cave complete with ventilation, TV, and a nice leather chair. I'm happy and if I had a wife I bet she'd like the solution as well plus this way I get to smoke what I want. I guess that is my two pennies.

As always..one question and 50 different responses...that was my problem when I took up the pipe...how deep is your pocket book? It's simpley a matter of process of elemination.

For what it is worth, my wife loves the room note of VBC. It is such a great vanilla smell, hell of a cool smoke as well. I will quote her; "I found I was actually trying to stay in front of where you were exhaling so I could smell more of i."
I wish she said that when I give her the old "dutch oven". She always protests!?!

1Q , trout stream , Boswell magnum and all of their Aro's , butternut burley . I recently tried that C&D Cap. Bobs blend . It is a good mild English with a hint of sweet dressing . Decent room note .

Try 1Q, then Frog, then you may want to try a Lampe Berger. It does remove the smoke odor while scenting the room. They've got 100 blends, but I've found that only the strong ones work. Cinnamon is good, Orange is not.
