Wife hates Latakia smell

Welcome to the forum and I'm sorry that your first post had to be a challenging one.
I love Lat blends, but when I have occasion to be around it when I'm not smoking, I can sympathize with the non-smoker.
Are you sure that it is the Latakia and not the smoke itself? If in fact it is those blends only, then of course simply don't smoke them while she is around or when you are going to be near her, even if it is in the house--smoke the very numerous Va and Va/per blends in the house, and smoke the lats outside, at work, or in the car if you have your own car.

In my house, I am King of the Castle and what I say goes!...........when my wife isn't around.
I've got the same issues with Latakia blends and I just don't smoke them indoors, much. I have found that I can get away with sipping on bowls of Virginias and VaPers indoors without too much blah, blah, blah.

Try arango balkan supreme, it's got sweetened black cavendish in it and won best blend of the chicago pipe show. It has a room note described as pleasent, it doesn't have that leathery woodsy smell.

Here's the fix;
Get a churchwarden and tell your wife that you being the good husband that you are will smoke your lat bends outdoors. Get a lawnchair and go out in the front yard wearing nothing but some tighty whiteys and a football helmet and fire up. You'll need the helmet to deflect the rocks thrown by the neighbor kids and you'll need the churchwarden to smoke through the face mask.
Before too long your dear wife will be lighting your pipe at your recliner and asking if you'd like to watch sports on TV.

My wife actually likes the tin note of Latakia blends - the smokiness reminds her of Lapsang Souchan tea - but the smoke both during and after a bowl doesn't do a thing for her... Which is fine. I'm not a fan of stale smoke either, so I clean up afterwards. :D

Mine loves the smell of Latakia and turns her nose up at many aromatics. God love her!
