As with my recent thread on too many pipes, it is easy to end up with too much leaf. I've never bought in large amounts. I have four tubs and some 7 and 8 oz tins, and a number of 1.75 and 2 oz tins, but I buy three or four bulk baggies, tins, pouches or bags a few times a year, and it accumulates much faster than I smoke. So it certainly bears watching.

When I need variety otherwise, I try to do mixes of my own that provide a novel smoking experience. It amazes me how this often results in really good smokes. My best results are by mixing just two or three blends or a base and a condiment. Fewer is better for me, in terms of taste. And different proportions provide a whole separate new experience.

I hear you. Humidity down south makes things hard to keep, even indoors sometimes!
If you keep the tobacco air tight you should not have a problem. I have a workshop in the back yard. In summer it gets well over a hundred degrees in there every day. I keep a batch of tobacco in there enclosed in a plastic peanut butter jar. Every time I open it it is still slightly moist and smokes great. I don't think hot weather is a problem... just air. puffy

Guess I'll move my SJW Training Camp to NC then. Maybe a branch in TX and ID also... ;)
Idaho is full...There is plenty of space in west TX deserts ..NC (at the coastal beaches near by)become so crowded during the last few years it is unbelievable...It used to be the best kept secred but it changed...they build new stop lights all over new malls stores subdivisions they removed thousands of acres of forests to build all that..11 acres of wooded land by my property got sold last year after 14 years in the market...But you are welcome here....I still prefer NC lot more than FL but you know best where you want to go...
