I have a nice rotation now but, you never know when you might catch that other perfect pipe. Same here.

What blows me away is how fast some of the beauties come and go. Estate and new. There is some really deep pockets out there. :)
I don't know how many times I see an interesting thumbnail image on the SP email and when I go looking for details it has already sold.

I am similar to Peck and I enjoy cars. Some dealers used to have cookouts on the weekend where you could get a burger or hot dog but that has stopped where I live. I used to enjoy visiting the dealers but now just look online.

Not only do I check pipe and tobacco items, but also...Aston Martin DB2 sales, Jaguar SS 100 sales, Ferrari 250 GTE sales, (etc.), motoring trips to the Lake Country in GB, trips to France, Italy (etc.), I mean - a guy has to dream!
Thankful for what I have been able to do...

This is SO true. Not too long ago I bookmarked a great looking Stanwell available on smokingpipes.com at a really nice price. The next day I went back to take a look and it was gone. I've gotten to the point that if I really want it, I grab it right away.
After all, I really have enough pipes, right?
Absolutely (not). :puffy:

It's an argument for saving up for better pipes, so you don't accumulate quite so many. It looks less

crazy even if you spend the same money eventually. You can survive with only two dozen pipes, as

odd as it sounds. Too late for me.

I really like SP cuz they keep the pics of the pipes even after they sold. So, most of them in my wishlist are already sold, but I keep them there, to remind me of the styles I like, or chose.
That being said, I visited milantobacco and saw the new Nording Valhalla series. I saw a bulldog without the beadlines (It will be my 3rd bulldog w/out bead lines. I'm not sure why, I just don't like them). I bit the bullet and ordered it. Got 4 tins of villiger stokkebye and a new pipe tool as well, to get the free shipping.

I think my wife had a count of my pipes at one point. I've ordered 2 more since then, plus 2 cobs, plus the one on the way. This new order would put me at 15. As far as I can tell, the last time she counted, I had 10. I even packed one of my "new" ones right in front of her. If she noticed, she didn't say anything.
I might have to unsubscribe from all the e-mails I get from SP, P&C, Milan, Vegassmokes, etc. Would help alot w/my PAD, TAD. Of course, my TAD isn't too bad at the moment, I'm pretty pleased with my eclectic cellar.
Do they have PAD/TAD anonymous? "Hello, my name is murf, and I have a problem..." :puffy:

It always makes me feel good when a pipe I have been watching and lusting over sells, like that GBD Prehistoric rated at 9.9/10 for only $85 on the MKELAW Pipes site. It is like, well good, it found a good home, in a sweet "Glad that cute puppy in the pound found a home" kinda way.
