I'd sure like to help you out, daimyo. However, all I have in stock is a combination of the two (called Mellow Tiger), and I can't ship it across state lines.

Actually, you would be taking a 33.3% percent pay cut. Just saying. :D My comment wasn't really intended as a suggestion, it was more of a 'what if'. In all seriousness though, like wyfbane mentioned, if Ebay craps out you could be sitting pretty!

Very true! I have had two listings pulled because the item I was selling were drug related---

I was selling molded acrylic pipe stem blanks.

Pipestud/Spudstud/Budstud, I hope for the sake of us all that you are wrong about the possible trajectory of this anti-tobacco direction on eBay. (I do not really blame eBay - the advice of lawyers is generally something to be followed.) If I lost eBay as a source of pipes, my collection would remain stagnant for years at a time. My slice of the Midwest is a pipe desert. All I can find in local antique shops are severely abused drug store pipes.

I'd be real careful about doing that, John. Once you get on the eBay police red flag list your auctions are monitored. I've been on that list for a long time and whenever one of those weekend eBay part-timers finds one of my tin auctions, I sometimes have them yanked and then have to call eBay during the week and speak to one of the supervisors to get the tin put back into my eBay store for a re-list. Guess I'm a criminal.

I'm surprised they called you. I was selling aged tins a couple of years ago and they suspended my account for a month. I tried to call but could only contact their answering service overseas who didn't have any idea what I was trying to explain to them. At that time I was a pretty successful antique dealer, after that fiasco I sold all my stuff locally and gave up.

So yeah, Ebay is starting to look pretty deserted for pipe tobacco tins. Try a search for cigars though- pretty much the Wild West on that front.
