I was eyeballing a beautiful Dunhill pipe on an auction site and it went to someone else. I was wondering which one of you were lucky enough to obtain it. I ask in the hopes of finding out how well it smokes and to congratulate the new owner!

Not trying to hijack the thread but I have a brushed brown Stanwell 405 (purchased from P&C when these were on sale for $19.99) that is very similar to that beauty and it smokes like a dream.
Slightly curved stem like my 904 collection. A very comfortable shape.
Duane, whenever I smoke that pipe, you and your collection come to my mind. It is very comfortable to clench indeed.

I have a Dunhill Shell Briar Zulu that needed a friend which is why I was looking at this one. My zulu smokes great, which is also another reason I wanted a second one. It is the only pipe I own that is dedicated to a single tobacco.
I have an unopened tin of Aperitif somewhere in my tobacco shelf. I have so many open tins and samples to go through before I pop that one. I have only heard good thing about it.
It is my favorite Dunhill blend and I hope one day it comes back.
Looks identical to two Parkers I purchased a few years ago for about £30 each new!

I like the yacht/zulu shape and have three versions, a Sav unfinished (now deep walnut colored), a Rossi Palermo in essentially the same shape, and a Chacom smaller version. Your Dunhill version is smartly done.
