Sorry it took me so long to do this I have been working then got sick
Questions to Answer:

1. What were your impressions of the first 1/3rd of the bowl?

A little strong definitely taste some Latakia in it sip on it slow and steady trying to not over heat the bowl
2. Second 1/3rd of the bowl?

It has mellowed out allot and is a more of a sweet Virginia taste with hints of latakia
3. Final 1/3rd of the bowl?

Same as the 2ed 1/3 of the bowl
4. What tobacco types do you think this blend consists of?

I think it is a mix of Virginia, Latakia, maybe Oriental
5. What tobacco blend that is currently available does this tobacco taste the most similar to (in your experience with the tobaccos you have smoked personally)?

To me it was almost like Wessex Gold Standard not as much Latakia
6. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being the worst thing you've ever smoked and 10 being the absolute best mana from the gods, what would you rate it based on the small sample you tried?

I would give it a 6 out of 10 I am a big English smoker and this blend is definitely an english blend
7. If this was available for purchase, would you add it to your current tobacco rotation?

Yes
8. Any additional comments and thoughts would be very welcomed!

I wouldn't call this an all day smoke I like a stronger english in the morning and I think this blend would be good for that. I actually broke it in half so I could try it 2ce to see if I felt the same and I fellt the same the 2ed time I smoked it as I did the 1st time.

Well, I've been away for 2 moths so I suspect this sample has been following me up the east coast. I got the sample yesterday and will post my comments later today. Sorry for the delay. I'd like to blame the USPS but who knows. Stay tuned and thanks for everyone's patience.

OK, first I'd like to thank clickklcik for the opportunity to participate in this blind taste test.

I packed this blend I to my 1962 Dunhill Shell group 4 billiard. One match and I was off to the races.

First 1/3: I was immediately struck by the sweetness of this tobacco. Sure, there's latakia in it but it was not overpowering to me. I got a bit of floral essence bit on the whole this is a very balanced blend.
second 1/3: still sweet and smoking very dry as I'm trying to understand where the sweetness comes from. The leading suspect is always black Cavendish but there is something else going on here. I wonder if there is a strain of one of the basma varietals; Mahala or Dubek which my account for the lighter colored leaves and contribute to the floral taste.
Final 1/3: For me it was consistent throughout the bowl. There may be a hint of cigar which could contribute to the dry smoke. If it's there it was done with a light and expert touch.
What's in it? To my fried taste buds I get latakia, black Cavendish and one of the aforementioned Orientals.
After smoking pipes for 45 years I've had over 1,000 blends. So what does it remind me of? The one that popped into my mind throughout the smoke is the new Spectre tough less of a cigar impression than Spectre.
Rating: For me this is a 8.5-9.0. I really like it.
Would I buy it? Absolutely
Other thoughts: I only used one match for this bowl. A very rare thing for me. Also, it smoked dry all the way through. I didn't need to run a pipe cleaner at any point. It packed well and was an absolute delight for me.
Thanks again for the chance to play. I look forward to learning what this is.

Brudnod is last, but it appears his sample may have gotten lost. I will give him a couple more days.

Dammit! I have been following this as well and it sounds right up my alley! I am not a big fan of heavy Lat blends but I do like sweeter blends such as Frog Morton Cellar and On the Town.

Although the sample got waylaid in the mail (thanks for explaining the postage problem).
1. What were your impressions of the first 1/3rd of the bowl?

Very fresh but rather strong in the nicotine content for my tastes.
2. Second 1/3rd of the bowl?

The latakia came out and the room note (not my call) was very pleasant.
3. Final 1/3rd of the bowl?

A bit more bitter but with the latakia still going strong.
4. What tobacco types do you think this blend consists of?

Burley 4 parts, Oriental 2 parts and latakia 2 parts.
5. What tobacco blend that is currently available does this tobacco taste the most similar to (in your experience with the tobaccos you have smoked personally)?

Wessex Gold Standard, that has already been mentioned.
6. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being the worst thing you've ever smoked and 10 being the absolute best mana from the gods, what would you rate it based on the small sample you tried?

7 for a latakia blend, keeping in mind that I usually smoke aros...
7. If this was available for purchase, would you add it to your current tobacco rotation?

Yes
8. Any additional comments and thoughts would be very welcomed!

Thanks for the opportunity to try this lovely blend. Let us know what the mix is.

I think I may have been the "NA". Count me as a 4 and wouldn't buy. I would recommend it to someone whose taste more aligns with this.

ClickKlick sent me about two bowls of tobacco. The first taste I put in a bowl and humidified to my usual moisture. That was evaluated as above. The second bowl was dried to my house humidity which is pretty low. That second bowl was more flavorful but burned much more rapidly. Both smokes were in straight pots (one a GBD and other other a no-name Canadian) so should have been pretty much the same environment. So perhaps a bit drier is better for the smoke. I followed up both smokes with Longbottom Leaf, a spicy aromatic (The Country Squire), that should have told how potent the first smoke was; the taste was good on each time suggesting that that Click's blend did not "ruin" the taste buds. The final take? This is a very pleasant mix and does a bit better on the dry side. How does this cellar one might wonder?
