Who Makes the Czech Pipe Tool?

I found 3 made in Czech Republic in my pipe cabint drawers today. I use this non Czech daily. I think I bought it from Dan Pipe years ago.

I dont really use the spoon but the tamper and pick work great. I use the pick/rod if I dont tamp enough. I will make one circle around the outside of the bowl to push tobacco to the middle and gently tamp. Id be happy to have something more pretty but honestly it just does the job right. Its light, easy to handle and if it gets lost its no big deal.

I certainly liked my 8deco one more. But it's nice when the bottom of the line version is perfectly serviceable to the point of there being no excuse not to own one.

Bought this last week, under 3 quid. The spoon turns out to be very useful for sorting out the bottom of a smoke. I have a Chinese imitation somewhere, completely bendy, whereas the Czech is solid.

Still carry a pipetool with a scraping knife, though, can't live without that.

Hi,

Does anyone know who makes the Czech pipe tool in the Czech Republic?

One of my kids is taking a vacation in Prague, and I was hoping to figure out where they were being made, so they could visit the place, take a few pics and pick me up some locally.

I mean, how many of us can say we have an actual Czech pipe tool bought locally… Oh gosh, I guess I’m such a pipe nerd… LOL

P.S. I can‘t find any info on Google…

All the ones I have are marked "Made in Czechoslovkia". There are some cheap "knock-offs" made in other places like China.
