Milan Tobacconists has a Father's Day sale on Ben Wade pipes. Their bulldogs are fairly beefy pipes with group 5 or 6 bowl capacities.

Their prices look pretty good too! Looks like $25 - $35 off MSRP. I have one and it smokes very nicely. The sales hype states they're

made by Duncan Briars in the Dunhill factory. The only downside with mine is I have to futz around a lot to get a pipe cleaner in.

Absolutely beautiful pipes! Tommy that pipe looks worlds apart after your restoration, great job. hmm if someone made a Rhodesian with a ridge along the back side, would it also be considered a dog?

"A Rhodesian Ridgeback..."
Thanks, BriarBully,...I appreciate that. That pipe was the most awful smelling dirty pipe I had ever seen. You couldn't get your pinky in the chamber, the stem and shank were gunked solid, the stem bit almost through and it was so sticky I hated to hold the nasty thing.
Great pipes Uncle Arthur! That's an impressive collection!

Here's one that I salvaged. an old Medico that had all kinds of ashtray burns. Of course I got rid of the filter stem while I was at it.

Wonderful pipes unclearther. Unfortunately in the anique world some people are buying up those old pipes with silver caps and bands just to sell the silver or gold. Love the restorations!

At first I thought you were talking about bulldog puppies. I love those little guys. Plan on getting two of my own eventually. As far as pipes though I didn't like the bulldog/rhodesian style at first. After I got a Peterson Aran B5 though, which is a semi-bent rohdesian I believe, I fell in love with them. I plan on getting many more bulldogs and rhodesians. Here's a picture of my Aran B5.

You guys have got some beautiful pipes! And my going over, (and over), your photos only makes me want to pick up a few more examples of what is quickly becoming my favorite style.
