My favorite artisan pipe maker is Chris Besse of Red Deer, Alberta. He's gifted me a couple of his works and he is a regular contact that began here in this forum and has been ongoing since I started 10 yrs ago.
His primary focus in on the draft, resulting in excellent smoking apparatus. His skill in the exterior portions has developed as he has acquired more and more tools and experience.
One thing I've learned about Canadian's is that they have a really tough time obtaining tobacco without paying for diamonds and rubies.

Needs its final bit of finish-depth-of-color & shininess, but you get the idea.

Make a hell of a cased pair, wouldn't they? rotf
