Context, I waxed my pipe a week or so ago and took the blowdryer to the pipe to get rid of some of the excess wax today. These white spots formed on the pipe. My guess is it’s areas where the wax has melted away from the surface either deeper into the pores of the meerschaum or where the wax has evaporated altogether. Any idea what they are? I like the look!

Just meerschaum. A natural substance with all is natural imperfections. I'm not a mineralogist so, that's the best I can do.
I’ve seen similar with pipes that begin to color just that these spots are brown from the nicotine and tar being drawn out of the stone into the wax
That'll never happen unless you apply a flame or heat gun directly to it. It'll burst into flame before evaporating.
It just looks like normal meerschaum coloring to me.. look at all of the speckling on this pipe

Hah, I don’t normally, I did for this one once since some of the wax seemed to have been rubbing off
There's so much wax soaked into them that reapplication isn't needed. Smoke it a few times and the warmth will bring the wax to the surface. Wipe the outside if the stummel with a tshirt to shine it.
