I took a strong liking to Amphora Full Aroma a short time ago. It was nothing like the blend of years ago, which I remember being too perfumey. In other words, I liked the resurrected blend better. Much better. I still have five pouches left.

Of the oldies, there's the long lost Craven, and Balkan Sobranie Virginian No. 10. Better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all, sayeth someone.

SG Bracken Flake is one. But as someone else shared, the original versions of HU were my favorite smokes. Hans love of burley is unmatched. Dockworker, directors cut, nyala, makhuwa. Nashville county. Haymaker. …. Man those are exactly why I smoke pipes

McClelland Navy Cavendish. While I have a decent stock of it, I ration it like it’s a “special” blend, when I think of it as a regular rotation filler. I have a CC and 40th Anniversary stash as well, but I always treated those as special occasion bowls even before McClelland closed up, so I feel the loss of NC more.

Also, the demise of Sutliff generally, primarily because of the ripple effect it’s had on small blenders like WCC, KBV, Country Squire, etc.

PS: My fat fingers got ahead of me and I almost posted before I noticed what would have been a rather hilarious typo: “Country Squier”
He’s definitely not country.

The only Syrian Latakia I ever had was in the one (1) tin of The Solent Mixture. It was aged, so maybe very different from what was intended when it was tinned, but it was delicious. I never tried the new stuff figuring that it would be very different, and therefore just stuck with the blends I knew would be relatively consistent.

GLP Renaissance would be it, but I still have a few tins that I continue to smoke more or less regularly, therefore I don’t miss it. Of those I don’t have, Edgeworth Sliced and Mixture 79 (as it was in the 70s and 80s) come to mind.
