Which is Stronger in Nicotine? Dunhill Royal Yacht or Nightcap

I have to ask: are all you chaps inhaling? Or are you saying you're absorbing enough nic through your tongue/cheeks to make you ill? I don't inhale (never thought you were supposed to with a pipe) and I've never felt any nicotine buzz from any tobacco period. As to these 2 tobaccos compared in general, I find NC actually has some interesting taste like a traditional English, due to the Latakia. RY OTOH has very little flavor I can taste. Aside from a bit of black pepper heat from the Perique, RY tastes and smells more like a stong, unfiltered cigarette (like a Gauloise)than pipe tobacco.

@shutterbug, You should try some GH Sliced Brown Twist. You will definitely feel the nicotine without inhaling. Royal Yacht has no Perique, but is made up of African grown Virginias which are stronger and spicier than New World Virginias.

It's almost as if @shutterbugg needs to try some Tambolaka. I have a decent nic tolerance but there are a number of ropes (and Tambolaka) that still can catch me unaware.

Thanks for correcting my misunderstanding Nachman, I could have sworn RY had Perique, it's got that peppery taste. So does NC which says it contains Perique. One thing I do find is that I absolutely can't stand exhaling RY through my nose, whereas I can do it with NC. I'm not sure it has anything to do with nicotine though. I have to say I'm trying very hard to like both of those but so far it's not happening. Using the Frank method to pack it has made an improvement though. I'm more used to coarser cuts and my 40 yr old packing by feel method was getting it in there too tight.
