I know I will once again be in the minority, a place I've grown rather accustomed to, but I have yet to find a GL Pease blend I really like. They are all meh to me. The same goes for C&D.
I've not tried a single GL Pease blend because they're mostly too strong and high in nicotine for my needs.

Same goes for C&D to a degree.
Although Epiphany is stronger than my usual fare, I did order a pound and glad that I did.
Epiphany is a keeper IMO.

What about Chelsea Morning or Samarra? They are well balanced and smooth without any hint of irritation.

I've not tried either - looking at the reviews, Chelsea Morning looks good.
Samarra would be too strong for my requirements.

For 35 years I was a slave to a 30-40 a day cigarette addiction. It got worse as time went on.
Quit attempts were white knuckle torture [seriously]

Over ten years ago I switched exclusively to a pipe.
Once I had adjusted, I only ordered mild, mild to medium blends with no more than mild levels of nicotine.

Although that means that I miss out on many fine blends, there's plenty of mild blends from which to choose.
Switching to a pipe was a real blessing - now I can go hours without a puff and not even notice when otherwise occupied.
Rather than needing a smoke 'Now dammit!', I'm content to wait until my hands are free to enjoy a bowl.

While on the subject; Samarra sounds like a fine blend.
Recently I found a mild blend with similar leaf - 4noggins house blend, Jesse's Own - Virginia, Maryland, Oriental/Turkish, Latakia and Perique.
It's no doubt very different to Samarra but it's very smooth and tasty, a fine much milder alternative for my needs.

GL Pease is a master at balancing different ingredients. I cannot say which one has less nicotine, CM or Samarra. They are not Virginia forward and don’t taste anything like cigarettes.

Chelsea Morning, Sixpence, Regent’s and Caravan (one I haven’t seen mentioned yet) are my top GLP, with Chelsea Morning taking the top spot-its right up there with Old Gowrie as my favorite of all time. It’s just...soooooo good, and I have a lot of memories tied into smoking that blend.

Caravan, for some reason or another, just rings a lot of bells for me and I really enjoy it but it seems to be one of those that falls through the cracks and doesn’t get much love. I find it really full and flavorful, big oriental presence and a great Balkan type smoke.

Overall, though, I find myself seeking out the cheaper options for cellaring. It’s hard to swing 35-40 bucks for 8 ounces of GLP (excepting CM), so I just buy a 2 ouncer at a time, generally, jar them up and smoke them sparingly, when the mood arises, and spend more on cheaper bulk for the cellar.

No I wasn't suggesting that they were . . . . you misunderstand; since freeing myself from cigarettes, I avoid nicotine.

JimInks gives quite accurate assessment of nic levels in his reviews which has helped me to choose untried blends.
Samarra, according to Jim; ''The nic hit is a step below" medium.

Any blends with nicotine levels above mild are off my list of possibilities simply for that reason alone.

BlackPoint doesn't get mentioned often but let me tell you it rocks with just a few years on it

Also Caravan is pretty special. It's like smoking a leather armchair, but it's amazing how that concept can grow on you after a while :)
Hopefully not the seat!
