Where To Send a Pipe for Stem Work / Replacement Stem?

Nope. They're one of the few repair shops that handles meerschaum. Most restorers won't touch meers. Overall, Briarville has done some excellent work. But after seeing a real mess they made of a member's stem replacement, I can't recommend them for that.

Rich has done several stems for me and I have been highly satisfied. I must note they were all on meerschaums...

I have to report a similar story...while Briarville has done great work on some of my restorations, they “cleaned” off a Barling’s Make cross logo on a $300 pipe, even after I specifically referenced the importance of the pipe and its logo in my restoration notes. To their credit, they gave me a refund. But that can’t undo a mistake that, to any knowledgeable pipe restorer, should have been a no-brainer.

You can get that restamped. Check with some pipe repair services to see who has a crossed Barling stamp.
