Hmmm I've decided with my first paycheck to get a fancy new pipe instead of a new computer or something that would be obsolete in a few weeks, So my question is does anyone know where to get a one custom made? I want it to be two wolves heads growling at each other :D

Altinok Meers can whip you up a custom meer but I have heard that they come with a very steep price tag. Then again, for custom work, you get what you pay for.

Hopefully all goes how you would like with the pipe!

Imagine the joy of smoking a pipe that you had a hand in making, or actually crafting entirely.

Happy puffing! :puffy:

I've heard that Yanik does custom orders. I can't speak for any part of his work except that I think he is the most talented living carver that I'm aware of. I'm sure that it would be a pricey endeavor.

Bumping this thread because I know the landscape has changed. I want to commission a meer.

A realistic skull Head sitting on a bed of roses.
Rose stems and lightning bolt running up the shank.
Red white and blue stem.

I'm really surprised at how fly-by-night some meerschaum vendors seem. We used to have sponsors that were big meer dealers, and even some of the bigger names have come and gone in a matter of just a few years, or at least they no longer have websites. All of them used to offer custom-mades, but now just a few do.
I have to say, in my relatively short time in the pipe world (compared to some), I feel like I have seen quite a few dealers come and go. It is interesting. However, as I try to run a business selling briar, I can say it is rather hard to make a living. Or money at all some days. Ha.

Now-a-days, it is even tougher, online of B&M for any business... and, I can imagine running a business out of Turkey targeting mostly just US customers is even tougher.
Yeah, a lot like trying to personally resurrect a brand that most people don't know still exists. Heh. They say it takes passion to do this, but it probably takes a certain level of insanity.
