Where to Find Decent Quality Affordable Leather Jacket?

I am a proud owner of a Vanson model B (http://www.vansonleathers.com/prod-Model_D-593.aspx?). This is the best leather available on the market. All US made. It's a little pricier than 300 but it will outlive his owner. That's a serious jacket though. The leather (if you don't opt for the softer firenze style) needs weeks to break in but then it's comfortable and it will protect you not only from the elements but also from enything that may be thrown at you short from a 9mm bullet.

I would call a Vanson jacket a "heritage jacket" because you'll pass it down to your kids and their kids.

Absolutely! And given that the 500 bucks are a bargain. Especially if you consider all these designer leather jackets made in Bangladesh that sell for >1000.
