Where is the Dunhill Shop in London?

I've long wanted a Dunhill, but for some strange reason I told myself I would not buy one here in the states. But if I ever had the chance to visit London, I would buy one in London.

So as of now I am making a trip to London later this year, with some free time built in. Where is the Dunhill store, the classic or main store for their pipes? I saw a Dunhill store on a Google map, but it looked like a menswear accessories shop.

Does anyone know the address of the store that is most known for selling their pipes? I'd like to buy one there if possible. Thanks.

I wasn’t able to find one when I went about 12 years ago. Only dunhill I could find was a fancy clothes store.

Dunhill is kinda sorta mostly not a pipe vendor, and certainly there's no Duke Street shop where you can sit and have a smoke. You won't find pipes in their shops, nor even on their website.

They still make them, in Walthamstow, but it's a very small part of their business, and clearly one they wish they could disassociate themselves from, corporately.

But from what you're telling me that is likely to be some corporate HQ. The site also has a page titled "retailers and distributors." So I'm thinking this confirms what you're saying -- they do not operate a store of their own.

In that case, does anyone recommend a pipe shop in London?

The only pipe which carries the name is "The White Spot." dunhill, note the lower case dee is owned, in it's entirety by a Swiss family owned company Richemont which specializes in luxury goods, no pipes or tobacco products and is the exclusive owner of "Alfred Dunhill, Ltd." "Dunhill" blends, cigars and cigarettes no longer have any connection to the Dunhill family. It's not that tough to understand but, many can't distinguish between a lower case "dee" and an upper case. Dunhill at one time owned "Mont Blanc". May still but, I think that luxury brand was separated from Alfred Dunhill and is now owned by Richemont.

Vendors and "the White Spot" try to keep the connection going but, it is tenuous at best. The actual ownership of "dunhill", Dunhill". Alfred Dunhill, Ltd." as all fascinatingly complex but, can be sorted out with a bit of sleuthing.

So, if you are going to London to buy a "White Spot" the store with the lower case "dee" is not what you are looking for. I have no idea what, if anything, is available any longer in London and would stop in at the James J. Fox store, Saint James Street for the latest information (The Davidoff store up the street may do as well.). A great store with a small museum, once the supplier to Churchill.

I think you should take a tour of the main Tobacco stores in London. Surely you will find what you are looking for.

Contact smokingpipes.com and ask for their recommendations? Several years ago Shane and Sykes visited the London factory and did a right up that was posted on the website. They might be able to point you to a retail location or to put you in touch with the factory. If you can’t buy a pipe you might be able to visit the factory and see what happens from there? Nothing lost by asking for their advice and experiences.

Dunhill closed their London tobacco store Go to JJ Fox and Davidoff in St. James for a good selection of pipes and tobacco. Also Turmeaus in Shepherds Market.

Agree with JJ Fox and Davidoff. I visited the Dunhill store just before they closed. Not much of a selection of pipe tobacco left and only a handful of cigars.

I was there in 2019. When did they close? Not a shocker though. Not much tobacco there when I stopped.
