Closet, drawer, cabinet, tupperware container, wooden box - just about anywhere as long as the temperature is relatively constant and not too hot or cold.
Also keep in mind the humidity level so as to preserve the metal tins and jar covers. (Oh, and keep them in darkness if at all possible)

I commandeered a linen closet in the upstairs hallway. It's all mine. I keep all of my pipes and tobacco in there (as well as humidors, unopened boxes of cigars, pipe tools and pipe cleaning materials, etc.). No sunlight of any of that business. It is awesome.

I put the mason jars inside my large trunk that also serves as a coffee table

I have a footlocker I use for long-term storage in my bedroom (secret stash) and I emptied out my t-shirt drawer for tins and jars I'm currently smoking.

I have an actual cellar, but haven't had the guts to leave the jars in there due to the temperature variance in the South. Mine are sitting on a shelf (out of the way of sun light).

Just keep your stored tobacco in the same room as you watch your TV. Inside a simple cabinet or drawer.

In a closet in the spare bedroom which has now been dubbed "The Cigar Room" by the Wifey...(Since I keep all my humidors in there - Climate controlled at 70 degrees via window AC)

Well, I keep my tobacco which so far has been all house blends in the baggies(is there any problem with leaving the tobacco in the baggie?) it comes in, inside a Mason jar. But I just got a humidor from Ebay which is really cool. If I figure out how to post pictures, I'll put a picture of it up. But I don't think that I will actually store the tobacco in the humidor because the jars seem to be working out so well. My "tobacco central" is in my dining area right now. I have a really tiny house so it's really dining-living combined. I do smoke in the house but only the pipe. If I have an occasional cigarette--those nasty things are consumed outside. But the pipe smoke doesn't have the same acrid, nasty smell as old cigarette smoke.

I keep them in a closet. I will need an extra shelf soon though; gotta move wife's stuff and make it my man-closet.

As long as the bag is inside a mason jar it won't be a problem.

Don't use that to store tobacco; humidors are best left for cigars.

Since my cellar is in a flood zone and the temp fluctuates too much anyway, I keep mine in mason jars inside my closet - in two large drawers. Out of sunlight, and sealed quite nicely.
