I have picked up smoking while driving home from work lately. I makes me a lot less road ragey. Sitting out on the patio with a book and a drink is pretty great. I am not sure how I am going to keep it up through the winter.
My favorite place is on the front porch watching the deer and turkey in the field or the bass in the pond jumping for bugs. I prefer to do nothing but just enjoying nature, wind in the trees, and rain on the roof.
It's better than any meds the doctor could prescribe. ::
Usually, I tend to smoke my pipe during lunch break at work. However, there are also times where I smoke in my room while playing chess, or world of tanks ::
I smoke in my office/study, where I actually spend most of my time reading, writing, or doing the rare bit of art. I desperately wish for a porch or deck, but sadly at this point not possible.
I pipe all day. So to and from work, in the can, doing laundry, yard work, etc. But mainly I'm reading while piping. History and biographies. These days, WWII history (mainly Italian and North Africa campaigns).
I made a long trip this weekend, over 100 miles each way round trip, driving my new Dodge Dart. At one point, I had to pull over in an empty parking space and had a long smoke--the first--in my new car. I was sick of that "new car" smell anyway.
Have about 10ac of trees on my ranch to explore. It was a 1930's homestead, and I stumble upon antique farm equipment whenever I go for a stroll. I enjoy a contemplative pipe trying to figure out what the heck that old machinery was for.
During good weather, in the shady spot in the backyard. When my Spaniel sees me loading a pipe, she gets excited because she knows that I'll throw the ball for her out there as well.
Mostly I am drinking coffee or tea or when I smoke my pipes. I prefer sitting in a comfortable chair or lie in a sofa and I like to read a good book or watch a nice film or listen beautiful music with my pipe smoking.
