Unopened tins in the cabinets above the fridge in the kitchen. Bail-top jar of Veermaster somewhere on the counter so I can dig in when needed. Current tin of whatever I'm smoking in the pipe bag, and some whatever I'm smoking in the metal baccy box that also goes in the pipe bag if different from the open tin.

I have a small jar of "emergency" tobacco at work.

That's it. Keeping it simple.

I jar all of my tobacco and it is kept in a cabinet in a cool basement. Mine have been there for about 4 months. They're still moist and a fabulous smoke.

Pint jars by Ball, if the tin has been opened. I wonder, though, about long term storage of the cheese dip style containers, but trust the shoe polish style tins. In fact, I'm considering whether I can't find blends in tins relatively equal in flavor to those in containers. I'm also considering how many specific blends to store. Subtle differences in flavor aren't enough to persuade me to give those blends equal value in my eventual cellar.

if it comes in a tin, I just leave it in the tin. If it comes in a pouch, I sometimes put it in a jar. Haven't really been at it long enough to try and age anything and I like to get small amounts at a time, smoke it up, and then decide what I want to try next. So my favorite place to keep my tobacco is at the local pipe shop.

I keep all my blends in glass jars with rubber seals (the kind with hinged lids that clamp down) except Escudo, because I hate disturbing the coins. That one I leave in the tin and put the tin inside a tupperware cannister. Stays at perfect humidity till I smoke it up. I keep all my jars under the sink in the downstairs power room which is right by the door to the garage, where I keep my pipes.

have tons of mason jars that I use for making kimchi, and sourdough starters in the fridge. So all I need to do is get some fresh lids and rings and I have dozens in all sizes. Especially proud of my half pints for the ounce sized samples. Ill be keeping them in the "study" (actually a 4th bedroom, but we don't use it as such unless guests), the coolest room in the house in the closet :)
