Peterson doesn't sell loose stems to repair shops (I think it's a patent thing), so getting a P-lip means either making one from scratch (very difficult because of the up-curved airway), or adapting a discarded one from a P-lip pipe that somebody converted to a fishtail.

The stem was from a military mount fat shank 999, and the stummel is Group 3 size.
Heat & bend straight, cut a push-style tenon into the chonky part, and "shape away" the surplus (which I'll do tomorrow).
Easy peasy.
