When Do You Have Your Most Relaxing Smoke?

Every time I have my pipe going is relaxing for me. Lately it's been mid to late afternoons. On the road in the am for work, then back home to work around 2 or 3pm if my travel is within the city. If I can, I'll have a pipe while doing emails/paperwork, etc. It's a great way to end the day, when I get the chance to do it I cherish it.

When June Kelley gets home.... I usually have supper ready, or almost. We set and she has a Margarita glass of merlot and I have a beer, a bourbon or scotch, which ever perks my fancy. I usually load my pipe early for that time, as I know it'll be a good one. She tells me all her stories from the day and I set and listen......

Most relaxing smoke for me is when my two young boys hit the bed and I get to sit out on the porch and smoke. I watch the stars on a clear night when we get them up in Washington but mostly sit out and just think and smoke!

I love nothing more than coming home to a warm apartment and making myself a nice meal after a long day at work. I sit and eat, watch TV, catch up with my girlfriend and we talk about how bad work sucks, then I get into my pajamas, turn on something on the TV, then load up a pipe and curl up on the couch with my girlfriend and well watch TV while I puff on my pipe. Its my only pipe of the day but damnit is it satisfying. ::

I enjoy sitting on the front porch of my 100yr old farm house, in the rocker looking out over the pastures thinking about all the things I "should" be doing, but only accomplishing one thing, enjoying my pipe.

I like to sit outside in a rocker in the summer and watch the bats fly around. Sometimes my oldest comes and sits on the porch and we talk.

Anytime I'm a 5 hour horseback ride from the nearest road, out in the mountains, and sitting around the campfire at night. No cell phones, no light pollution, no noise. No man-made anything. Doesn't get more relaxing than that for me.

All of my smokes are relaxing, even the ones when I am driving in the car. I am pretty much retired so I smoke all day and night. The only time I am not smoking is when I am making meals for me and my kids. I don't find cooking and smoking to be enjoyable, I cannot concentrate on my pipe and it usually goes out if I try.
