It never crossed my mind that it would be Pipestud (aka Steve Fallon). Pipestud has so much experience with vintage tobaccos that he maintains a database where he documents the weight of the tins to ensure that there are no anomalies. (And, not just generic tin weights, but the actual weights of specific blends going back through different blenders.) I suspect that the actual seller of the subject tins does not share this protocol. You have to be "buyer beware" with vintage tins, but you can trust Pipestud. (At least until I feel screwed by him then I'll scream it from the mountaintops of the internet. :ROFLMAO: )
