I will be working and waiting for that phone call saying my new baby is on her way. Her due date is just a couple of days after the first, and babies have a way of coming when you're not ready. 8O

Wife and I are driving to southern VA so I can marry a dear friend to her betrothed. Spend the night there and fire up a few bowls of Devil's Holiday with the groom. ::

My son will be working at the local B&M that night, where they're going to put out some food and stay open to ring in the new year. I'll drop by there after dinner for a bowl or two, then get get back home to my wife and other son for the rest of the evening.

Heading to a friend's for new years, smoking will definitely be on the list of events.

Being over in the Australian time zones somewhere, I'll ring in the new year at least 10 hours ahead of most of you. I'll let you know what 2012 is like. I'll probably sit on deck somewhere with my churchwarden loaded to the brim and figure out what I'm going to do with the year.

I am going to watch some football, and commence-commencing my foray into the Mead making world. (Special thanks to Baronsamedi)

My family indulged my answer to the age old question (what do you want for Christmas?).

My response.... Mead making supplies....

So, in keeping with my New Year's resolution, to become a wino in training....

I will begin to ferment Honey.
Actually I'm going to try a few of recipes over the next couple of months, and by mid-year (if I'm any good at it) I'll attempt to make next year's Christmas presents.
