Here's a different one for you guys.

Do you have a go-to blend for just filling a cob with and enjoying while mowing a lawn? I'm looking for something without too much complexity, as I won't be searching for nuance, and stays lit. Something like a solid go-to, not too much of a nice hit. Any suggestions?

At first I thought about a codger blend of some sort.

I don't smoke when mowing the lawn. Both hands are needed to operate the mower, and the ride is too bouncy to comfortably clench. Besides I don't want to extend the experience by periodically stopping to tamp, light, etc. For other yard or shop work something like Carter Hall (any burley really) does the trick. The practice is not too rewarding as the pipe spends more time put down somewhere than being puffed.

I recommend a MM Ozark Hardwood, as its even more lightweight than a cob so it is almost effortless to keep that narrow plastic bit shoved back in one side of your teeth. The cut of SWR usually requires no tamps for me as it doesn't spring up like ribbon does. These are the reasons I like to mow the lawn :)

I purchased a condo to avoid mowing lawns and shoveling snow. The mortgage payment was cheaper than rent and offered more space.

Some garden work and other lawn care are needed (damn pine needles), but I defer to others. However, a codger blend (Half and Half) or Habana Daydream hit the spot, along with Hamm's beer (I try to always have a case in the garage).

Before I had the farm portioned off for residential development, I would smoke Carter Hall while working it on the tractor. Not for any reason other than it was easy and didn’t require a lot of fiddling. Now, I just have the yard to push mow, and whatever Virginia or burley blend I have open will suffice. I clench, so no big deal.

I keep a couple cobs and a pouch of MM Missouri Pride in my tractor for when I'm mowing, plowing, or doing other work around my property. That's probably my "go to mowing blend" but I also keep a Morgan bones pipe and a pouch of MM American Patriot if I want something else.

Which reminds me... I need to go mow. puffy
