Right NOW it's Gaslight.

I've also been smoking quite a bit of GH Dark Flake Liquorice for the last month or so. Doesn't quite replace 1792 in my rotation, but close

Right now - and as of a few hours ago - I discovered Boswell's Premium Burley. That's what happens when you spend a few hours at their shop. What a great way, and place, to spend Black Friday.

I hadn't smoked War Horse Bar (Red) since the first limited production run. I liked it, but I over did it and ended up on the floor. I got to try it for the second time on Monday at the CI Pipe Guild at their Hamburg, PA store and was really won over big time. Rich, deep and wonderful. It's all that I've been smoking this week.

Mcclelland Red&Black has been my special treat lately..the one I look forward to smoking the most.

So much so I just placed an order for 4 ounces each of McClelland Red Cake and Stoved Virginia.

woodsroad, I love strong burleys and plugs, but with War Horse I often have to just put the pipe down for a few minutes (and I never use anything bigger than a Group 2 Dunhill pot). What is it that gives it such strength -- are all the tobaccos N. American or are there some African VAs or dark fired in there?

Russ tells me that every batch of War Horse Bar and War Horse Green is fully "processed" by retired racing horses. Their digestive tract enzymes do something to increase the human body's ability to absorb nicotine. I'm not sure about all the technical details, but I did find part of a wager stub in my tin.
Seriously, though: The air cured is African, I believe, the dark fired is US. Not sure about the origins of the VA.
Russ?

Man, that is a good one! It made it in my top 5 VA blends. Absolutely essential for Virginia goers.
