Coffee in the morning and sweet ice tea in the evening
Porters and Stouts. Preferably barrel aged
I used to love a good bourbon barrel aged stout.
Before 3pm, a light roast coffee. After 3, it's a toss-up between beer, a carbonated beverage withOUT corn syrup, or hot tea.
What changed?
Well coffee, tea, water, beer (any), liquor (any), soda (any)......aw hell, I just like to smoke pipes and drink
Black coffee is my preference.. I've been trying to slack off a little, the number of cups I was drinking per day was getting out of control.
It completely depends on the time of day and what I'm smoking. It might be coffee, wine, bourbon, cognac, a gin and tonic or a Tom Collins. Time of year also determines my choice. I tend to go opposites. If it's a strong tobacco, I'll have something sweet, like wine or a Tom Collins. If it's a sweeter blend, it might be cognac or bourbon. Coffee goes with everything!

Can you recommend some teas that go well with a pipe? I've never been much of a tea drinker but am kind of curious about the combination.I mainly only drink, drinks that help enhance smoking and keep the palate fresh, so for me, pretty much teas.
No alcohol for me, or any strange drinks that would clash with the tobacco.
Nice palate = Nice Tabac.
I like coffee with a morning pipe. Otherwise water, or diet Dr. Pepper
I really enjoy Earl Grey with VA's and VaPer Irish Breakfast with a good English
Coffee, the more recent the roast of beans the better (from most any continen, whatever's been roasted in the last week or two from sweetmarias.com--no affiliationt)--w/caff and without in the am; without in the pm. Water alongside please. Single malt in the pm once in a great while at special times of the year and in the fall or winter, otherwise rye whiskeys in the winter mostly (but tonight its George Dickel) and vodka (no special brand but I won't turn down an occasional Grey Goose . The pricey drinks only once in a while--otherwise they sit in the pantry or on the cupboard shelf ). What fun reading so many of your preferences!
