When I first started smoking a pipe, I smoked Aromatics almost exclusively. Now, rarely. But Cult's Blood Red Moon was one of my favorites at that time, a dark and rich blend of fire-cured Cavendish, Bright Virginias, and Burleys heady with aromas of Royal Ann cherry and dark chocolate. And of course, Lane Limited 1-Q. Once I discovered the joy of pure Burleys and English blends, my sweet tooth left me never to return, lol.

I really enjoy a good aro. I consider an aro to be any tobacco with a noticeable topping. That's why I include the flavoured twists.

Gawith - Ennerdale Flake
Gawith - Mahogany Flake
Gawith - Rum Flake
Gawith - Bourbon Flake
Gawith - Seasonal Reserve
Gawith - Louisiana Flake
Gawith - Summer Reserve 2022
All the Gawith flavoured twists
St Bruno
Warrior Plug
Germain's - Medium Flake
Germain's - Rich Dark Flake
Germain's - Plum Cake
Rattray's - Bagpipers Dream
Peter Heinrich's - Dark Strong Flake
Kohlhase and Kopp - Pipe 66
Many of the Peterson and Rattray's special editions and Christmas blends

BTW, did I mention that I like a good aro?🤔

Burley Morning Pipe is as close as I get to aromatics. Nothing against them, but I prefer a light touch of topping if it is there at all. I did enjoy Peterson's Connoisseur's Choice once when I tried it, which is closer to what I would consider an aromatic.

I primarily smoke full English blends, but when I want a break from the latakia I go to:

Eastfarthing
Casey Jones Last Ride,

in a few pipes I dedicate to aromatics only

BTW Eastfarthing keeps some of the latakia I enjoy and in fact I find it similar to Frog Morton Cellar which I also consider an aromatic

Stokkebye PS 35 Champagne was my favorite until I tried Peterson Sweet Killarney. It's like smoking a Heath Bar if you're into that sort of thing! I am also a big fan of Sutliff Molto Dolce which has been discontinued with the STG acquisition.

Favorite aromatic? Vauen Aurenland. This is a peaches/orange mixture that was released with the LOTR pipes that were used in the movie. It was given to me. I usually am an English and Balkan blends user. This tin really surprised me. If any of you enjoy C&D Autumn Evening, this mixture is one you will enjoy.

I'm not a big aromatic fan, but I do enjoy certain blends. My go to aromatics are Lane - 1Q, 4 Noggins - Trout Stream, 4 Noggins - Hobbit's Weed (Match), and Rattray's - Exotic Passion.
