I've been looking at Smokingpipes.com webpage, and I found one that I like, but there's a couple versions of it and I don't know what the nomenclature means. What's the difference between these two pipes?
BINGO!!! As copy and pasted from smokingpipes.com - "one of only 66 made for this year's series"Without seeing the links my guess is they are limited edition out of 66 pipes made.
I'm pretty sure you know what wood grain is, the striation of fibers of the wood. The most desired grain has a high contrast between light and dark grains, the lesser desired grain is more solid in color, with no contrast between light and dark. Then you get into flame grains, birdseye, etc...Can you please expound on what "briar grains" means. I don't understand what that means?
Actually cosmic I didn't know or I wouldn't have asked the question. But thank you, I do now.I'm pretty sure you know what wood grain is, the striation of fibers of the wood.
