What is a go kit? We have hospital ready bags but they are hopefully not going to be used and tobacco will never be welcome at the ER.
Just quipping on "Go Bags" or "Hospital Ready Bags" and such. I just mean when you travel with your pipe. To this new guy, it seems a bit more complicated that grabbing a Coke or a pack of cigarettes would be.

Oh yeah so in my kit...
I have a vinyl pipe/tobacco pouch that holds my Grabow and pipe cleaners in the pipe section. Then in a zipper pouch I keep 5-7 filters, a thing of Zippo flints, and a pipe tool. And the tobacco slot holds about 3-4 oz of Carter Hall.
Zippo would fit too, but I keep it in my pocket at all times.

I need a bigger go bag. Can squeeze a 6” pipe, tamper, lighter, few pipe cleaners, and if I jam it in there, probably a bit of tobacco, but normally keep that separate in a tin or jar

I have a bag that I use for my "go kit" when going out for a day or so. It has:

2-3 pipes
4-6 tobacco blends
1 tamper/pipe tool
2 lighters
1 knife (for cutting ropes/plugs)
12 or so pipe cleaners
1 small cleaning/polishing cloth
1-3 flasks of various spirits

I choose the pipe, tobacco, and spirit types and quantities before going out and pack the bag accordingly. The rest of the stuff lives in the bag full time.

Every 2 to 3 years I end up in hospital for a week or two.
My small local hospital is run by the Catholic health system. The foods not bad. They not only turn a blind eye to patients smoking in the courtyard [despite the obligatory no-smoking signs] but the security guards just grin when they smell what I've been smoking in my little pipe for chronic nerve pain. [It is way more humane than the publicaly run hospitals]

The last time I went to hospital I loaded a bag with a dozen pipes, several ounces of various tobaccos, 100 pipe cleaners, six Bic lighters and a bag of weed.
Quite a few patients and staff loved the smell of my Butternut Burley. Next time I'll leave the Latakia blends at home, lol.

Today, I doubt you could get within 20 feet of any hospital considering what is going on with C19.... Public or private. And if a hospital is allowing smoking within their walls, it is not a hospital I want taking care of me. Let's just ignore all the patients with lung or heart disease, immunocompromised patients, asthmatic patients, chemo patients.... What a crock of bull!

I have a small sling bag that I throw a leather pipe roll in. The pipe roll holds two pipes, tamper, pipe nail, pipe cleaners and two pouches of tobacco. The sling bag also contains lighter(s), matches, combination pipe tool, tins of tobacco and maybe more pipes. Number of pipes and amount of tobacco dependent on nature of the “go”. Hearing the contents listed by others, I think I might add paper towel and a soft cloth. Hard to tell I was never a Boy Scout.

Keep in mind Shane had his pipe brief case designed MI6's Q so his pipes and tins fly out on voice command and turns into an escape raft just in case of emergencies.
